This memorial website was created in the memory of my HERO, Jeremy Farrand, born on June 27, 1985. Was murdered on May 29, 1999 at the age of 13.
Jeremy.. aka: Bub, Bubby The things I remember the most
His smile was awesome, and he did it alot.
He was growing up quickly, like most teenagers do these days. He liked rap music, video games, hanging out with his friend Steven, and hated school. He wanted to be a garbage man when he grew up so he only had to work one day a week!!!!!
He liked animals, I remember one time he found a wild baby rabbit all alone and thought it was his job to raise it. He kept it in a box outside his bedroom window and cared for it daily.
He didnt spread his love to everyone easily, but he was loyal to his friends and family that he held dear.
His best friend Steven and him were insepratable, they spent as much time together as two friends could.
He loved spending time with his Mom - Annette
and his sister - Danette His Dad - Dan After his dads illness he didnt get to spend as much time as he would of like to with him, Shortly after Jeremys death his dad was to follow the path that Jeremy had laid for him. They now spend eternity together
He loved rap music,

I think if we would of had to listen to JayZ's "It's a Hard Knock Life" one more time we all surely would of gone crazy. (We'd take crazy to have you here)

His favorite color was BLUE. Just about everything he wore was BLUE.
The Night of May 29th, 1999 Jeremy was at home, not out running the streets, but at home. With his best friend Steven, Crystal (who is my daughter) and Ragweed (the babysitter - and my daughters friend). I had left work and come home only an hour before Jeremy was murdered to check on things. Everything seemed to be going well. The kids had gotten pop and movies and were planning on spending the evening laying around the house and watching movies. It was a Friday night and I remember thinking to myself, I am so glad they are all in and not out running. The kids say they heard someone at the back door (which we never locked), and Jeremy got to see who it was. His last words were "Grand Central Station" as he walked into the kitchen to see who was at the house. Jeremy never made it to the door. A loud BANG and a flash of light is what is remember next. Then Jeremy fell to the ground. At first the kids thought he was just playing, he could be quite the prankster. Quickly they realized this was not a joke. Jeremy, had been shot, with a sawed off shoot gun, killing him in seconds. My daughter called me and I rushed home. Only to find out, I could not enter my home, the officer told me it was a crime scene. When the amublance came and went in and came back out with no body, I knew he was gone. It was now time to find his mom, who had went out for the evening. This I must say had to be one of the hardest things I have ever had to do in my entire life. Find my friend and tell her, her son had been shot. I could not bring myself to tell her that I believed he was dead. We rushed quicly home, and proceed with the longest night of our lives.
Jeremy was laid to rest on the following Thursday, his life was celebrated with a abundace of family of friends.
I will continue to keep Jeremy's memory alive, in hopes of making contact with his family. At which time I will gladly allow them to take over the website, to help their memories of him remain alive and well forever.
